RE: Unsolicited Telemarketing Calls AcademyOne Learning

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has informed AcademyOne Learning that a number of calls made to consumers initiated between 25 February 2013 and 22 September 2014 constituted violations of the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules (the Rules), made by the CRTC pursuant to section 41 of the Telecommunications Act. Specifically, the calls were made to consumers whose numbers were registered on the National Do Not Call List (DNCL), at time when it was not subscribed to the National DNCL and had not downloaded the National DNCL within 31 days from the date the calls were made. In addition, the calls were made outside the permissible calling hours.

In recognition of the CRTC's concerns and because of AcademyOne Learning's commitment to ensure compliance with the Rules, AcademyOne Learning has voluntarily agreed to, among other things, pay an administrative monetary penalty and implement a comprehensive compliance program to ensure that such violations to not occur in the future.
